Hi! I’m Maddy, thank you for being here!

I have been practising Yoga for over 15 years, beginning in my early 20s when I sought out a weekly Yoga class for community and connection, two things I value dearly and hope to share with my students.

 My practice, understanding and teaching of Yoga have been influenced by the traditional Yoga teachings of Krishnamacharya and his son TKV Desikachar, as well as the teachings of Iyengar Yoga.

My Yoga classes are a gentle combination of breath-centred, mindful movement and static holds. Variations and modifications make the practice welcoming and accommodating for all bodies and levels of experience. Expect an invitation, but no pressure, to experience the benefits of other Yoga tools such as pranayama, mudra, nyassa, meditation and chanting.

I am a lover of learning, an experienced teacher and have degrees in Languages and Education. In addition to having a Diploma of Yoga Studies - 500 hour Teacher Training from The Yoga Institute, I recently completed my Clinical Certificate in Ayurveda at The Yoga Therapy Institute and am currently studying pre-natal and post-natal Yoga teaching certifications. 

I am mama to three beautiful young children. When I’m not bulk meal cooking and doing laundry, I love learning new things, reading of all sorts, drinking chai, chatting with friends and hanging out at the beach, no matter the season!
